I highly recommend Faith to anyone looking to learn pattern making and garment construction. I already knew how to sew and had drafted patterns before, but she has completely changed the way I understand pattern drafting. She explains every step so clearly that concepts I used to struggle with now make perfect sense. So far, I've learned how to draft a basic bodice, basic sleeve, basic skirt, and both a basic gown and a more fitted gown using the subtraction method. She's also taught me how to take accurate body measurements, calculate precise dart placements, understand under-bust shaping, and create better-fitting garments. The subtraction method especially has been a game changer for me, and she made it incredibly easy to understand. Right now we've moved on to sleeve variations, and next we'll be learning dart manipulation, which I'm especially excited about. One of my biggest goals has always been to truly understand the foundation of garment making, and for me that starts with pattern drafting. I'm excited because I finally feel like I'm building that strong foundation instead of just following instructions. Faith is patient, knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely dedicated to her students. She works around my schedule, which has made it possible for me to continue learning consistently. Living in the United States, it's been very difficult to find an instructor who is truly knowledgeable in pattern making, especially someone willing to teach at this level. I was honestly nervous about taking online tutoring because I wasn't sure it would be as effective as learning in person. Faith completely changed my mind. Her online lessons are organized, interactive, and easy to follow, and I never feel like I'm missing out by learning remotely. I'm so grateful for everything I've learned so far, and I'm excited to continue learning with her. If you're considering taking classes with Faith, I can't recommend her enough!
