About Katie
I have been teaching for 20 years and specialize in supporting students with disabilities, as well as those in general education. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching a wide range of learners, and I am passionate about helping every student grow, achieve, and gain confidence in themselves. I hold a Master’s degree in Education, along with both a Special Education Credential and a Multiple Subject Credential. My background and experience have given me the tools to meet students where they are and guide them toward success. Most importantly, I love creating a positive, encouraging learning environment where children not only build skills but also develop a true excitement for learning.

Each lesson is personalized to fit your child’s learning style and needs—whether that means building confidence with early reading skills, strengthening comprehension, or improving fluency. I work with students from preschool through high school and love helping preschoolers get excited about reading using proven, research-based strategies. My goal is to make reading less stressful and more enjoyable, while giving your child the tools they need to succeed in school and beyond.
