About Murphy

Hi, I'm Mr. Murphy, a skilled Microsoft & UNESCO-certified Digital Teacher, a Course Facilitator, and a confirmed "expert" digital instructor by the European Commission. I've been teaching for over 13 years now. However, I started teaching virtually in 2020. When I teach, I paint mental pictures learners can easily relate to. Because I understand the value of individual differences, I meet you right where you are. And, to buttress my points, I dramatize where applicable. Connectivity is also one of my strengths: I connect new concepts to prior knowledge which helps learners assimilate better. I have a BSc. in Economics, a National Diploma in Business Administration, a Diploma in Basic English Grammar, a 120-hrs TESOL certificate, English for Career Development Certificate — sponsored by the US government along with over two dozen other teaching-related certificates; including the European Commission certification which is based on the European Framework for the digital competence of educators. I have acquired the Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) and I am TRCN-certified, confirming me as a recognized and qualified tutor. Currently, I work with virtual institutions where I'm conversant with four major curricula — the American, the British, the Canadian, and the Australian. I work with a wide range of online teaching platforms. I specialize in elementary and high school subjects like Mathematics, English, and Basic Science. I also help learners pass Standard and Professional English tests/exams, the IELTS, the CheckPoint/11+ exam, the SAT, and the National Common Entrance Examination. My hobbies are reading, speaking, and content writing. Kindly book a session with me. My mantra has always been: "Every learner stands a chance to become better". Let's work together so you can become better. Thank you!

About the lesson

I am versatile: I teach both online and on-site. I employ the following tools to ensure comprehension: Google Classroom; e-questions and Mathematics videos. On the Google Classroom, I assess the students through diversified assignments. Through the e-questions, I evaluate knowledge: the questions would be done online and submitted immediately or eventually. I also use Math videos to help students understand Math concepts.

While my base rate aligns with the platform’s guidelines, certain factors may lead to slight adjustments. Being aware of this and to give consent for such adjustments, SuperProf allows tutors to add “𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀” in this segment!

I͟n͟s͟t͟a͟n͟c͟e͟s͟ w͟h͟e͟r͟e͟ r͟a͟t͟e͟-a͟d͟j͟u͟s͟t͟m͟e͟n͟t͟ m͟a͟y͟ o͟c͟c͟u͟r͟ include the student’s academic level and the tasks required to meet their specific needs, such as lesson preparation, progress tracking, and tailored resources — most of which I pay subscription fees for. Additionally, for more demanding subjects, tests or exams like IELTS, SAT, or GRE, which require extensive planning and specialized materials, rates may vary.

Other considerations include the number of students (e.g., teaching siblings together), time zone differences requiring sessions at unconventional hours, the durations, the amount of sessions in preparation for a fast-approaching exam and costs associated with virtual learning tools.

Most importantly, kindly note 𝗺𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘀/𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁'𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘂𝗺 𝘀𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟭𝟱,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗡𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗔-𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝟭𝟱 𝗣𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗨𝗞 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟭𝟱 𝗗𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗨𝗦 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁. For other learners, suitable agreements can be reached!
