About Alexa
As an experienced guitar tutor with over 13 years of teaching, I bring a deep passion for music and a commitment to nurturing students of all ages in their musical journey. My approach blends technical proficiency with creativity, emphasizing rock, blues, fingerstyle, and improvisation techniques. I believe in fostering a supportive learning environment where each student can explore their unique musical expression.
Beyond teaching, music is not just a profession but a personal passion that enriches every aspect of my life. Whether it's composing original pieces, collaborating with other musicians, or simply enjoying the meditative process of practicing scales, music is my constant companion. It fuels my creativity and inspires me to continuously evolve as both a musician and an educator.
In addition to music, I enjoy immersing myself in nature through hiking and camping adventures. These experiences provide a refreshing balance to the intensity of music, allowing me to recharge and approach teaching with renewed enthusiasm. When not strumming a guitar or exploring the outdoors, I indulge in reading, particularly biographies of musicians and books on music theory, which deepen my understanding and appreciation of the art form.
