About Tara
I’m a guitarist, composer, and educator with over 3 years of experience helping students discover their creative voice. With a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance (Contemporary Styles), I bring a balance of classical discipline and modern expression to my teaching. My lessons focus on compositional techniques, arranging, and creative exploration. I help students develop harmonic awareness and melodic fluency through guided improvisation. We also work on writing original music and recording simple demos. For advanced players, I introduce counterpoint and more complex harmonic ideas. My approach adapts to each learner’s musical goals and style. Whether you want to perform, compose, or simply enjoy making music, I’ll support your journey. In my guitar lessons, rhythm takes center stage. It’s the most powerful skill any guitarist can build. My teaching approach focuses on strumming clarity, picking dynamics, and groove control. The Worship Leader gains assurance and presence while performing. Each lesson builds musical precision and expressive control. I emphasize rhythmic phrasing as part of storytelling through guitar.
