I have a passion for literacy and helping students grow to not only thrive in reading, but to genuinely love reading. My hope is that through my research based practices, in-session assessment, and hands-on teaching style, my students will feel comfortable to take risks and make mistakes, which is where the most growth happens!

When we meet, I will first determine gaps in reading for my students and begin with researced-based, consistent, engaging instruction to fill those gaps and grow in reading and confidence! These lessons are primarly geared towards elementary and middle school students. In addition to teaching literacy for 10 years, I have my Master's degree in Reading and Writing (Curriculum and Instruction) and have tutored for the past 6 years.
