About Yiolanda
I am a professional concert guitarist, trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music under Graham Devine, where I hold a BMus (Honours) and am currently completing my MMus in Classical Guitar Performance. I am a recipient of several prestigious awards, including from the Wolfson Foundation, Finzi Trust, Henry Wood Accommodation Trust, and Cyprus State Scholarship Foundation.
I have performed as a soloist and ensemble musician across the UK and Europe in venues including the Royal Museums Greenwich, the Bank of England, Pattihio Theatre, and the New Lights Festival, as well as on radio, and have held residencies at prestigious London venues including Bacchanalia, Mayfair. I have also performed in masterclasses with some of the world's leading guitarists, including Paul Galbraith, John Mills, Fiona Harrison, Christopher Stell, and José Antonio Escobar.
As an active collaborator, I work regularly with various artists and ensembles, and am a member of the Cyprus Guitar Orchestra, Sorori Voice Collective, and Syrinx Duo. As a recording artist, my collaborative work has topped the Beatport charts.

Whether you're picking up the guitar for the first time or refining your technique as an advanced player, my lessons are always tailored to you! In a friendly and encouraging atmosphere, I am here to guide you through your guitar journey with patience and a true love for music and sharing knowledge.
I have been teaching students of all ages and levels for over six years, across a wide range of guitar styles and music genres. My teaching experience spans private tuition, schools, coaching/mentoring sessions (including the Royal Greenwich Guitar Festival) and music conservatoire settings. 100% of my students have passed their exams across all major music boards, as well as performing successfully in concerts and competitions. As well as guitar, I teach songwriting, music theory, musicianship, and beginner ukulele and mandolin.
My approach to teaching is rooted in warmth and adaptability. Depending on your goals, we can focus on technique, building repertoire, exam preparation, music theory, or simply enjoying the process of learning the guitar! I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and public liability insurance. Online and in-person lessons at my studio and areas: SE8, SE10 and E14.
