About Luke

I'm Luke, a pro guitarist in Manchester, UK. I perform many styles of music on a regular basis, and my job is to be as versatile and enjoyable to work with as possible. I take this approach into my teaching also, as I want you to thoroughly enjoy learning the guitar. I focus heavily on what you would like to get out of lessons, and come into our sessions with no agenda or predetermined set of things to show you.

About the lesson

I have been a guitarist and tutor for over 10 years now, and really focus on making guitar lessons FUN! Lessons can be anything from 30-120 minutes long, and I enjoy teaching all ages and all abilities. I teach Acoustic and Electric guitar, and I'm happy climbing up through instrument grades or just learning your favourite songs to play along at home!

I’ve worked with Luke for the best part of 10 years and can confidently say he’s the most talented guitarist I know. His deep knowledge of both the guitar and music theory, combined with his down-to-earth personality, makes him an exceptional teacher. He explains concepts clearly at all levels, making him perfect for both beginners and advanced players. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

Luke’s ability to break down music theory concepts and guitar techniques to the bare bones and build them up to something fun, digestible and easy to practise and learn is the reason why I’ve been able to learn my favourite songs on the guitar where other tutors have failed before. Even when I’ve been struggling with my licks his patience and guidance is second to none.

Always on hand if I have questions and is always happy to share is knowledge! Thanks Luke!

Luke is far too modest to say this, but he is genuinely one of the best guitarists, and guitar teachers, in the whole UK. Genuinely. I play with him in front of 1000+ people every single weekend, with him effortlessly nailing every aspect of playing 4 hours of music - he is the absolute real deal.

His attention to detail is ridiculous - you'll read bios on here of teachers that have 'attention to detail' - it'll be half Luke's honestly, he takes everything he does immensely seriously - with real passion - but crucially personality and good humour.

Everyone who meets him, playing some of the biggest gigs in the country, thinks he is the best musician/teacher they've ever met and he'd never say it himself so I am stepping in to say it for him as someone who has worked with him and known him for 7 years.

Luke is a patient and knowledgeable teacher that really helped Sammy hone his guitar and songwriting skills. Without Luke's support Sammy wouldn't have the confidence to form his own band playing original music today
