About David
With over 20 years of guitar-playing experience and a degree in Music Technology and Pop Music from Huddersfield University, I bring a depth of practical knowledge to my teaching. I’ve played live and in the studio, from solo open mics to duos and full band gigs, gaining experience across a range of styles and settings. Teaching allows me to share what I’ve learned over the years and to help others discover the freedom and creativity that music has brought into my life. My goal is to make music accessible and enjoyable for each student, giving them the tools to express themselves and grow in confidence.

In my online acoustic guitar lessons, we cover everything beginner to intermediate players need to feel confident and enjoy playing. You'll learn finger-picking techniques, strumming patterns, and how to read tablature, along with mastering open and barre chords. Lessons are personalized to each student’s goals—whether you’re starting from scratch or building on existing skills, I’ll structure each session to help you get there. Open to ages 12 and up, these lessons are designed to make learning the guitar both fun and rewarding.
