About Paul

With over two decades of teaching experience, I've dedicated myself to mastering the art of slide guitar and helping others discover the joy of this expressive technique. I draw inspiration from slide guitar legends like Derek Trucks, Ry Cooder and many others whose styles I can help you explore and emulate.

With a structured yet engaging approach, I strive to make each lesson not only educational but also an enjoyable experience. I will provide TABs, Backing Tracks or anything that will assist with your practice goals.

I've received numerous positive testimonials from students praising my ability to break down complex concepts into easy-to-understand steps, my patience, and my genuine passion for sharing this incredible art form.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology focuses on building a solid foundation in slide guitar techniques from the ground up. In each 1-hour lesson, we'll cover essential skills like mastering string blocking to avoid unwanted noise, controlling the slide so you sound "In Tune" , setting up your guitar for slide playing, and choosing the right slide for your style and hand size.

With over 20 years of experience and a degree in contemporary music specializing in slide guitar and open tunings, I've taught over 1,000 students globally through my online training courses. My lessons are suitable for beginners just starting their slide guitar journey, as well as advanced players looking to refine their skills.

Whether you want to learn the styles of slide guitar greats like Derek Trucks and Ry Cooder or explore your own musical expression, I'll provide a structured yet personalised approach.

We'll address your current abilities and goals, ensuring you make steady progress while also having fun with this unique guitar technique.
