About David
My teaching approach is all about making guitar fun and accessible—especially for beginners. I design lessons that are playful, colorful, and engaging right from the start. We use color-coded tabs, simple melodies, and rhythm games to build confidence and excitement early on. Each session includes finger muscle warm-ups and listening exercises to sharpen coordination and ear training. We’ll also explore sound pattern recognition, helping you connect what you hear to what you play. Strumming becomes a game, not a task, with challenges that keep you moving while smiling. I work especially well with students who thrive when learning feels like fun but still has structure. With over 10 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Guitar Studies, I specialize in helping adult learners reconnect with music. Many of my students are returning to the guitar after years—or even decades—away, and I understand the unique challenges and excitement that come with that journey.
