About Jay

Hi! My name is Jay. I am a law graduate with a masters degree in Law and Diplomacy. I am currently working as a legal assistant on the path to qualifying as a solicitor.

Having studied and thrived in the Uk as an immigrant , I understand the challenges to adapting to a new culture, the overwhelming feeling of being out of place due to an inability to understand local slang. Which is why I teach that which is not taught in classrooms.

I have a lot of interests ( some unusual) and passions. In my free time, I volunteer for a Gang Intervention Organisation for at risk youth, learn BSL, participate in a language exchange deal with a friend; learning French and teaching English and play violin (badly).

Join me for an interactive session to boost your confidence and improve your English!

About the lesson

Want to fit in and speak like a local?

I offer flexible and personalised online lessons tailored to your needs. Together we can learn some fun uk slang and have you fitting-in in no time! My lessons are perfect for all levels, especially new university students and recent immigrants.
