About Nina
I'm a dedicated guitar teacher with over 12 years of experience helping students reach their musical goals. I hold a Diploma of Music with a specialization in Guitar, and I’ve worked with learners of all levels. Whether you're preparing for a live performance, recording session, audition, or music school entry, I can guide you with clear direction and purpose. My lessons are structured yet flexible, allowing room for your unique style to shine. I focus not only on technique but also on building stage presence and musical confidence. I believe every guitarist should feel free to express themselves creatively, no matter the genre or skill level. From mastering scales and improvisation to polishing performance pieces, I make sure you grow in every session. I provide honest feedback, practical exercises, and positive support throughout your journey. Many of my students have gone on to perform confidently on stage or gain entry into top music programs. My teaching approach is all about helping each student find their own musical voice. I guide students through the basics of guitar with a strong focus on rhythm, chord transitions, and finger strength. For beginners, we build solid foundations with strumming patterns and simple melodies that build confidence and joy in playing. As students progress, we explore a wide range of genres like blues, rock, jazz, classical, and folk to develop musical flexibility.
I place a strong emphasis on creativity, encouraging students to improvise, compose short riffs, and experiment with different sounds. We explore scales, picking techniques, chord voicings, and ear training to build technical skills step by step. My lessons are hands-on and practical, always tied to real music students enjoy. I use backing tracks, loopers, and simple jam exercises to make learning interactive and fun.
For those who love rhythm-driven playing or soulful melodic lines, I support them in sharpening their style and expression. Whether you enjoy strumming around the fire or chasing the raw feel of the blues, I help you grow with purpose and direction. I also help students understand music theory in a simple way, so they can make creative choices with confidence.
