About Amir

I'm a guitarist with academic background. Have taught in group classrooms and private 1 on 1 lessons. Have been teaching since 2015 and I've had students with of all ages. I teach fundamentals, intermediate techniques, and music reading and comprehension.

About the lesson

My teaching method is to compartmentalize music into 3 categories, rhythm, melody, and composition. Treating each category as pillar that raises the student's musicianship. Students receive of mix of technique exercises, method book readings, and repertoire to develop a versatile approach to learning music.

Amir is an excellent teacher and musician! He cares deeply about my progress, and goes out of his way to make sure I have the resources I need to succeed. I’ve been taking lessons from him for more than a year, and because of his instruction, have progressed so much more than I ever thought I’d be able to. In particular, as the pandemic has forced distance learning upon most people, he has made a great effort to make online lessons not only effective, but enjoyable, and I can absolutely say he has succeeded at both!
