About Thea
I hold a PhD in Music Education and have spent 10 years teaching guitar to learners with different musical interests and goals. Teaching has allowed me to help students build confidence while discovering their own musical style. Every learner inspires me to continue improving my teaching methods.
My approach combines clear instruction, patience, and practical experience. I encourage students to understand the purpose behind every technique so they develop lasting skills instead of relying on memorisation. Individual progress remains the focus of every lesson.
Outside teaching, I enjoy recording original music, performing with other musicians, and studying new guitar techniques. These experiences help me bring fresh ideas into the classroom. Helping students become confident and expressive guitarists continues to be one of my greatest passions.

My guitar lessons help students build reliable technique while enjoying the process of making music. We cover chord changes, rhythm practice, fingerstyle, scales, improvisation, tone shaping, bending, vibrato, music reading, ear training, and performance preparation through clear and practical instruction. Every lesson develops both technical ability and musical confidence.
I use song-based learning, creative exercises, structured practice routines, listening activities, and personalised coaching to match each learner's experience. Students receive regular encouragement and detailed feedback that helps them improve steadily. Lessons remain flexible so every student progresses at a comfortable pace.
I want every learner to feel excited about picking up the guitar. My lessons create a positive environment where students build skills, express creativity, and enjoy every stage of learning. Consistent practice and supportive guidance lead to lasting musical success.
