About Anaya
I am a passionate guitar tutor with over 11 years of experience teaching both in-person and online. I hold a degree in music, with a focus on guitar performance and pedagogy, which allows me to combine strong academic knowledge with practical expertise. My teaching philosophy emphasises expressive playing, technical fluency, and personalised instruction. I adapt lessons to each student’s goals, whether they are beginners, advanced players, or professional musicians looking to refine their craft. My approach to teaching guitar is creative, structured, and tailored to each student’s goals. I teach classical, jazz, electric, bass, and acoustic guitar, helping learners from beginners to advanced players. Lessons focus not just on technique, but on understanding music as a story. I guide students in exploring musical storytelling, dynamic contrast, tension and release, and theme development. This helps them play with emotion, expression, and originality. I combine exercises, songs, and improvisation to make learning fun and practical. Each session includes personalised guidance, ensuring that both aspiring rock stars and worship leaders can grow their skills. I emphasise consistent practice, but also encourage creativity and experimentation. Students learn to read music, understand theory, and translate it into expressive playing. I provide feedback, exercises, and performance tips to help learners build confidence. My goal is to support students in excelling, not just technically, but in making music that connects with others. Every lesson is designed to inspire passion and mastery of the guitar.
