About Robert
How does your technique hold up when you really lean into the strings? Our initial meeting starts with a rigorous diagnostic skills check to map out your current abilities. We then build a bespoke plan based on your goals.
Expect to cover lead guitar and intricate rhythm guitar patterns immediately. You will learn to read tabs and understand complex scales and modes.
Ear training is essential. Songwriting helps solidify these theory concepts. My 6 years of experience ensure we stay on track. Music is a language we speak together.

Warm vibrations from a vintage acoustic fill the room while I settle into the chair to welcome you. My teaching persona is shaped by 13 years performing across the Australian Latin music scene. I have worked with 195 students ranging from hobbyists to advanced performers over my 6 years in education.
Helping returning learners reconnect with their instrument remains a central pillar of my practice. I hold a BA Music and Spanish from the University of Melbourne. My approach is rooted in direct, hands-on guidance. Sometimes things get loud.
I focus on building sustainable habits for every player. Sharing my perspective as a retired touring musician adds depth to our sessions.
