Super tutor

Diego is one of the best tutors in Guitar. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Diego

I'm a 21 years old Berkeley student from México, who has studied music since 8 years old. My expertise is the guitar, but I have basic knowledge on keys, vocals, and music theory, enough to introduce a person and deliver a series of lessons on it. I've had many public presentations, published music, original compositions, and above that, I think that my biggest trait as a teacher is that I've dedicated a big part of my life to design and trade knowledge about teaching methodologies and basis. I'm as informal as you need, but my priority will always be that you feel comfortable, you're learning, and that you have fun.

About the lesson

As formal or informal as you need, the first thing we'll do is set expectations and build up around that. You want to play with your friends? Know the chords so that you can read? Learn tabs? Partitures? Make your own compositions? Let me know what you are looking for and we will design a plan together just right for you. We'll do a lot of exercises for coordination, we may read some stuff or maybe not, depends on what you want and need, but what's for sure is that we will practice a lot, and have fun when doing it.

I have worked with Diego on a volunteering on education. He has a “learning by doing” approach, by creating lessons in which kids can use their knowledge creatively and playfully. He never raises his voice and yet he is great at captivating a big group when speaking. He is attentive of others and has the capacity to notice the best skills of his colleges and students, and promotes them. He is goal driven, meaning that every detail in his lessons are meant according to a bigger overall objective; which he never loses sight of. Kids tend to admire him, due to his fun warm personality, clarity and confidence.
