About Nick
I have done this work for decades, house to house, in studios, or online. I have experience in live performance, studio recording and music videos. I love to teach music theory, but if you just want to learn your favorite songs, I will make the lessons about your goals, not mine. I'm here to help you develop what you want to play.
I have been professionally teaching music my whole adult life, but I found out that I loved teaching while I was in High School. I just loved watching my friends play some of the songs I taught, or learned a new musical understanding and used it in an improvisation. That excitement continues to keep me wanting to teach, and I love to watch the way my students transform on their intruments.
I was heavily involved in arts and music in school and found myself learning many intruments, and loved learning, and found out one day that I also loved teaching music and intruments to my friends. One christmas performance someone asked for lessons for their child and I have been teaching as a vocation ever since.
I went to Arizona School for the arts and trained under Phoenix Symphony's lead Trombonist, as well as Professors at ASU and Phoenix College. I have been in many bands, tours, and head worship minister for my church for over a decade.

About the lesson

I talk with the new student to see what kind of music they are interested in, what is their level of musical experience and knowledge, and find out the main goals. Then we work on a practice routine.
I have worked with ages 3-65, any one is welcome who is willing to put in the practice.
My most recent recital at my current studio many of my students played full songs with backing tracks, including very difficult solo sections, from Metallica, Pantera, and even classic rock from Dire Straights.
