About Chandler

I stand out in that I'm a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the highly-acclaimed Frost School of Music at University of Miami, I have 15+ years of experience as a performer, I've played venues like the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, I've contributed musically to the Miami Film Festival, and I've performed on recordings reaching over 100k Spotify streams. On top of having experience as a teacher through School of Rock, I've also been involved with many other areas of the industry. This has enabled me to help people with different interests break into their field of choice, or just use music as a tool to enjoy life.

I love teaching because I get to help people achieve their goals, I get to constantly be involved with music, and I constantly learn from students based on their experiences.

I began directing ensembles as a volunteer at my local School of Rock locations in 2014. Eventually, I was hired at a few School of Rock locations as a private teacher. I had been doing that up until my recent move to Nashville, where I teach through Melodia Studio (melodiastudio.com)

I'm a Summa Cum Laude graduate of UMiami's Frost School of Music as the Outstanding Senior for their Media Scoring and Production major. Prior to moving to Nashville, I taught at School of Rock.

About the lesson

I first gauge their experience level and ask about their musical goals. I use this information to come up with specialized lesson plans for each student. If applicable, I try to get students playing along to songs they enjoy from the get-go to build excitement about the instrument.

I've worked with a wide variety of students from ages 7-67, including students with learning differences. Some of my students have been aspiring professionals, while others have been casually learning music to relax. I aim to be inclusive and accommodating in my teaching procedures.
