Standard introductions of course followed by questions in regards to their knowledge of music and what makes them want to learn an instrument? From these very first conversations, students can get an idea of the relaxed manner in which I teach and learn how I will support them in their endeavors.
I have taught students with special needs, homeschoolers, hosted classes of students, students at all levels of their musical progress, and adult students who are fulfilling their long awaited dreams of learning an instrument.
Choose an instructor who has your interests at heart and is experienced enough to adapt those interests into an enjoyable learning experience.

What is it that I want to learn along with the kind of instrument I have chosen? Would I like to read music, what type of music do listen to that uses my instrument, do I want to learn by ear, would I like to accompany myself while singing and am I willing to put the time in to realize my goals?
