About Michael
I've always enjoyed having the opportunity to create art, but the joy of helping somebody else do it is a high I love chasing. I'm always looking to share my musical knowledge with others.
I have over 20 years of real world experience and application in performance and composition. Some of these ensembles include, musical theatre, rock bands, a cappella groups, classical groups, choirs, etc. I have a vast array of experiences that allow me several different viewpoints and avenues to best help you reach your goals.
As a high school student, I had a very advanced understanding of music compared to my classmates, so many times people would approach me asking for help. This trope continued throughout college and I eventually ended up forming study groups I had so many people asking for assistance.
I attended SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music from 2011-2015 with extensive coursework in music education. Beyond formal training, I have over 20 yearas of real world application between many varying musical mediums. I've founded and musically directed two A Cappella groups, been a member of four different rock bands, been directly involved in over 100 different musical theatre productions since 2011. With regards to composition and arranging, I have fully orchestrated 3 full length Musicals and have arranged countless songs for numerous mediums.

Details
I believe every student is different and I don't feel any student should be denied knowledge because of financial matters, so I'm always willing to work with someone. That said, I would typically charge:
For vocal/instrumental lessons - $50/hr
For Theory/Arranging - $40/hr
