About Michael
I have been playing bass guitar for 43 years. My influences are Paul McCartney, John Entwistle, Geddy Lee, and other bassists from the genres of Rock, Blues, and Soul. I use finger style playing. I teach bass patterns and can also teach notation.
Being semi retired I enjoy being able to dedicate my time to session work at my son's recording studio and I enjoy working on my own projects.
I taught my cousin because my band needed a bass player. I've also taught other musicians in and out of bands.
I've been playing bass guitar for 43 years. I've played in Rock bands, country bands, and have done studio work for a few musicians.

About the lesson

I start with the basics, the notes on each string and how to tune the bass or guitar. I then teach the student a basic scale to practice for the next session. Each session builds on the previous one.
I've always worked with beginners.
Be sure that you are ready to put in the practice. You Master the instrument and you are the one who makes it sing. It does nothing on its own but collect dust.
I was able to work with my son who opened his recording studio.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Know what they hope to accomplish in their learning journey. Does the student want to learn how to play patterns and make them fit or does the student want to also learn to read music?
