About George
My passion for piano began at age 5 - first teacher retired faculty from Julliard School I have studied with some of the finest teachers in the world and a Music Puano Performance major at Ga State University. I believe the student should have a balance of materials that keep it interesting fun and also challenging for their development. I perform a multitude of styles and enjoys music in most all forms-from Classical to Popular to Jazz.
I love seeing the joy in students faces when they see what they are caoable of musically!
I got started with teaching at local lessons studio
George began studying piano at the age of five years old-his first teacher was a retired Julliard instructor. After moving to Atlanta in 1965 -he studied with Dr. Oliver Herbert Atlanta’s former president of the Piano Teachers Guild from age 6-13, Richard Bass understudy to William Maselos, while attending Ga State University-Dr. Ruth McDonald , Dr. Cart Lewis, Dr. Geoff Hayden, , and Ted Howe jazz legend and premier instructor of jazz studies at GSU, where George was a piano performance major. He placed 2nd in the State of Georgia National Piano Competition, recorded and toured with recording artist Peabo Bryson, was musical director for ‘The Wits End Players’, keyboardist for Atlanta’s Rupert Orchestra, & still plays professionally in the Atlanta area.

I like to take some time on the phone for a free 20 min asssessment before the very first lesson to talk with student or students parent about their particular needs and wants for piano instruction.
I have worked with very young to senior students- I believe I can teach anyone that truly wants to learn and dedicate some consistent time to practice
I would say check out their career experience and meet first to see how comfortable you feel around the teacher

Worked with George for some years andirons must say, he took my daughter from beginner to intermediate and she had fun doing it. His structured approach helped to guide and hone her skills, and she was doing recitals before long. He’s very good with kids, and is a fine professional!
George has a very easy teaching style to follow in the lesson. I feel that I can improve a great deal by continuing with him. He is undoubtedly a very skilled pianist and the best out there as far a piano teachers.
