About Jeane

Dear Parent,

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to your request regarding the need for an English tutor. I am pleased to be able to tell you about my experience with elementary students that were having difficulties with English and Reading Comprehension. I am a mother of four grown children and six grandsons and have successfully taught for over twenty-five years. Presently, my tutoring focuses on the requirements of the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) and the Language Proficiency Assessment. I have been successful with both elementary and adult students, particularly with students that are scheduled to take the state tests. In the beginning of my online tutoring three years ago, one of my elementary students told me, “Reading Is not my bag.” Today, she tells me she wants to be a reading teacher so she can help others learn how she has learned to remember what she has read.

My teaching career has included students in a variety of subjects and levels from adult ESL and GED classes, middle and high school English, Texas and US history and government college classes for the Tarrant County College District in the Ft. Worth, TX area, as well as tutoring.

Since Covid, I have been doing only online tutoring with students from 5 year olds to adults in English, Reading Comprehension, Math, and handwriting. Of all my teaching experience, l tutoring has been the most rewarding experience of my career.
