Super tutor

Mirianna is one of the best tutors in Guitar. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Mirianna

I have been playing the guitar myself for around 10 years, and it is one of my greatest passions. I play in two bands and have a first-class degree in music technology. Teaching is something I really enjoy doing, I love watching people learn and I find it very rewarding to see my students develop their skills. I have taught many people who have gone from having never touched a guitar to easily reading guitar tabs and playing their favourite songs! I recently developed my own tutoring company called Audio Tutor, where we teach a very varied selection of subjects. To avoid SuperProfs fees, feel free to contact me via (concealed information) for a chat!

About the lesson

I approach teaching in a fun and practical way, music is about expression; it should feel exciting to learn, so I make it my mission to provide an environment where this is possible. As this is a beginner's course I will start with the basics, students will learn the tuning of the strings, correct holding positions, chords, strumming techniques, how to read tabs and much more. It's important that we can measure progress and stay motivated, therefore I like to ask students to bring along a list of song inspirations. Through time, we will aim to analyse and learn these songs, and I will tailor the lessons with your preferred style/music genre in mind. I am very flexible with my teaching methods, and I'm more than happy to accommodate any changes or preferences my students have. Lessons are available for people of all ages but are ideally for beginners only.

I’ve been learning recording techniques from Miri over the past 3 months and she’s taught me so much about correct mic placement. I now feel confident that I can record myself well enough on my own. We’re moving on to look at editing techniques next!

Miri has been teaching me music production for the past year and I've learned so much. She's a great teacher, always takes the time to explain things (multiple times and in different ways if needed) and has a real passion for her subject.

I highly recommend Miri as a tutor. I already had a basic understand of music tech but she was able to tailor our sessions so that I could develop my knowledge of production techniques to enable me to progress further.
