About Skylar
My Self Skylar Vance, an authoritative performing guitarist and enthusiastic private mentor with 4 years of virtual teaching experience guiding K-12 students and college starters to top musical milestones. I hold a professional degree in Instrumental Music Performance and Multimedia Arts, specializing in modern fretboard mechanics and youth-centered digital curriculum design. I cut through dry textbook concepts and replace them with actionable, high-octane learning techniques.
I am the proud recipient of the Vanguard Fretboard Innovation Crest for my creation of an interactive online blues and rock guitar method for teenage musicians. I was also honored with the All-American Guitar Performance Coach Prize due to my students' consistent top-tier scores in regional classical and contemporary evaluations. Away from my guitar rack, I am an avid mountain biker and spend my free weekends racing down challenging state park trails.
