About Chris

I received a comprehensive music education at Berklee College of Music, one of the world’s leading contemporary music institutions. My studies included guitar, as well as broader training in areas such as music production and songwriting, which can be incorporated into guitar lessons when relevant.

This wider musical background allows me to adapt lessons to each student’s interests, whether the focus is purely on guitar technique, learning songs, or exploring songwriting and creative development alongside guitar playing.

About the lesson

I help students learn guitar in a way that is practical, enjoyable, and tailored to the music they actually love. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to develop your playing further, lessons are built around your goals while steadily developing technique, confidence, and musicianship.

Lessons are practical, engaging, and focused on real music rather than rigid, book-based methods. We use songs and material that inspire you as a starting point, while gradually building the essential skills needed to become a confident and well-rounded guitarist.

Every student learns differently, so I take time to understand your strengths, interests, and learning style. From there, I adapt each lesson to keep progress steady, focused, and enjoyable.

Lesson lengths: I offer 30-, 45-, and 60-minute lessons to suit different ages, goals, and experience levels. For most students, I recommend 60-minute lessons, as they allow enough time to balance technical work, song development, and practical application.

I teach children, teenagers, and adults, from complete beginners through to more advanced players. Lessons can focus on learning songs, improving technique, improvisation, songwriting, or preparing for performances, depending on your goals.

Mr. Cauduro taught me basic conversational Italian, and I learned a lot in a short time. He is methodical and rigorous, but his comfortable, immersive approach made me learn easily and have fun while doing it! I feel like I could travel to Italy and be comfortable on my own, as I know the basics of the language.

Chris Cauduro was an excellent tutor for guitar playing, I couldn't recommend him more strongly enough.
He is extremely passionate and a great performer and song-writer in his own right: most importantly he is always very supportive, positive and energetic, making me always wanting to achieve more and making me falling in love with the repertoire he introduced me to.

I offer a free 20-minute introductory consultation for all new students, either online or in person.

This is a relaxed opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss your musical background, goals, and any challenges you're facing. I'll explain how I teach, answer any questions you may have, and outline a personalised approach to help you achieve your goals.

If you'd prefer to get started straight away, we can incorporate the consultation into your first full lesson instead.

Find out more about Chris

1) When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?
I was around 10 years old when I first discovered a video of AC/DC playing “Whole Lotta Rosie” live. Seeing Angus Young play guitar with that much energy and freedom really struck something in me. From that moment on I was completely hooked, and I got my first guitar not long after.
2) Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?
I can happily listen to 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s rock on repeat. Artists I never seem to tire of include Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin — and of course, the Blues.
3) Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.
Songwriting.
4) What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?
Trumpet. Just trust me.
5) What are your keys to success?
Passion, discipline, curiosity, and a genuine love for playing, learning, and sharing music with others.
6) Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.
Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, and Thom Yorke. I imagine the conversations would be just as inspiring and unpredictable as their music.
7) Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.
During my time at Berklee, my voice teacher Jan Shapiro often reminded me: “Learn to walk before you run” and “Rome wasn’t built in a day.” Those simple ideas stuck with me and taught me that patience and perseverance are just as important as talent.
8) What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?
Music is a central part of my life — I live it every day. Being able to support others on their own musical journey, in a thoughtful and encouraging way, is something I genuinely value and feel grateful to do.
