About Kendra
Blue Ridge Mountains shaped my first chords and melodies. Have you ever wondered why some tunes feel like home? I teach acoustic technique, lead guitar, and improvisation to 128 students. My 6 years of experience focus on real playing.
I guide students through barre chords, ear training, and reading sheet music. Tuning and maintenance are vital parts of my approach. Song requests are turned into simplified arrangements for easy practice. Soloing becomes accessible when you learn to listen.

Learning music requires forgetting the rules you think you know. It feels strange to put the sheet music away to find the melody. We focus on acoustic technique and songwriting. Improvisation creates a bridge between theory and soul.
Barre chords and lead guitar work get easier with practice. Tuning and maintenance keep the instrument ready. I draw on my Certificate from the Old Town School of Folk Music for every tip.
