About Sara
I am a busy mum of two who is currently working in business management whilst transitioning into a career in teaching and tutoring. I am in my final year of a Languages and Linguistics degree and also hold a Level 5 TEFL qualification, giving me a strong foundation in language teaching and education. I am a passionate advocate for lifelong learning and genuinely enjoy helping students build their confidence, develop their skills and achieve their academic goals. I have several years of tutoring experience and have supported over 20 students across a range of ages, abilities and learning needs. I also have experience working with SEND students, including those with autism and dyslexia, and I believe that lessons are most effective when they are tailored to the individual learner. Alongside my tutoring experience, my background in business management has helped me develop strong communication, organisation, leadership and interpersonal skills, which I bring into every lesson. I offer tutoring during the day for home-educated students and those currently out of education, as well as more traditional after-school and weekend sessions. As my availability can vary from month to month due to family and childcare commitments, I do require some flexibility from students when arranging regular sessions. I am always happy to discuss availability and find an arrangement that works for both the student and their family.

My lessons take a simple, supportive and personalised approach, breaking topics down into manageable steps and focusing on both areas that need improvement and building confidence in existing knowledge. I have experience tutoring primary and secondary school-aged students, as well as adults, including learners with dyslexia and autism. Lessons are adapted to suit each student's individual learning style, ability and goals. I offer English up to A-Level, Maths up to GCSE, Spanish up to GCSE, and English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) for learners from beginner level upwards. Sessions can range from 20 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the student's age, needs and attention span, with lessons designed to be engaging, supportive and focused on making progress.
