While learning Japanese from a non-native speaker may seem like a not so good decision at first, this couldn’t be further from the truth. I understand what it’s like to be a beginner and not understand a single word, I understand how frustrating it can be to make progress through the intermediate stage, and I certainly understand how it feels to be lost in this generation of language learning. I was once where you are. I have passed N1, worked as a political translator in Japan, and daily consume native content in Japanese with ease. I’m married in Japan, and understand both culturally and linguistically what it takes to make it here. I am confident that I can help you overcome your challenges and become fluent in the way you would like to be

About the lesson

Whatever your Japanese language goals may be I am here to support you not only with methodology but practical and applicable knowledge. I have a deep understanding of Japanese pronunciation particularly pitch accent, and I am regularly confused as half Japanese. I am also comfortable reading high level Japanese novels and understand the process to reaching this level. Whether it’s consuming Japanese content, communicating with friends, or sounding native like I can assure you that I can help you reach these goals.
