About Khashayar
My name is Khashayar, and I earned my PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Miami, where I focused on materials, mechanics, and biomaterials. I later completed several years of postdoctoral research at Yale University in mechanobiology, biomedical engineering, microscopy, and advanced experimental methods.
Throughout my academic career, I have mentored and trained undergraduate students, graduate researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and interdisciplinary team members. I am patient, organized, and committed to creating a respectful learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
I prepare carefully for every lesson, communicate clearly, and adapt my explanations to each student’s background, course level, and goals. I focus on helping students build lasting understanding, stronger problem-solving skills, and greater academic confidence.

My name is Khashayar, and I am a Yale-trained researcher with a PhD in engineering from the University of Miami. I teach by breaking complex math, physics, and engineering concepts into clear, manageable steps. My goal is not simply to help students complete one assignment, but to help them understand why a method works and apply it independently.
A typical lesson begins by identifying the student’s goals, current level, and specific difficulties. We then review the core concept, work through examples together, and practice related problems until the student can explain and solve them with confidence. I adapt each lesson to the student’s course materials, learning style, and pace.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect equations and abstract ideas to practical scientific and engineering examples. My lessons are suitable for middle school, high school, AP, college, and early graduate-level students studying algebra, geometry, precalculus, calculus, differential equations, physics, statics, mechanics, materials science, engineering, research methods, and scientific writing.
