About Chaarvi
I want to make learning content an effortless process for my students. Out of a wide range of revision methods, such as through interactive whiteboards, mind maps, flashcards, past paper questions, reverse tutoring and many other ways, I will aim to find the most effective method(s) for your student. Having been tutored myself and experienced the learning process firsthand, I have gained valuable insights into some of the more effective learning techniques from a student's perspective. Academic background: - UCL (academic scholarship awardee) - currently studying BSc Statistics, Economics and Finance - A-level - Maths (A*), Further Maths (A*), Economics (A*), Computer Science (A) - 10 IGCSES - 9 x 9ns and an 8 in English Previous teaching experience: - Currently teaching GCSE maths students - Hosted group study sessions with peers during lockdown for Maths, Science and Computer Science - Tutored a Maths and Science GCSE student - Regularly helped peers with A-level Maths/Further Maths questions and explained topics to them when needed Knowledge of curriculum: - Strong knowledge of all GCSE and A-level topics - Comfortable teaching all exam boards for IGCSE & GCSE: Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry and Biology - Comfortable teaching all exam boards for A-level: Maths, Further Maths (Pure, Mechanics, Statistics & Modelling with Algorithms/ Decisions) and Computer Science

I offer tutoring for: A-level - Maths, Further Maths, Economics & Computer Science GCSE - Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Computer Science & Chemistry 11+ Maths and Non-Verbal Reasoning My teaching style/ lesson structure: - I will provide a few questions from all topics to gauge students' strengths and weaknesses. - I will create a long-term structured timetable to ensure all weaker topics are covered, all past paper questions are done and all topics have been mastered before exams. - Use of interactive digital whiteboard to create the feel of an 'in-person tutoring lesson'. - Use of memory methods such as 'spaced repetition' and 'active recall' to help students easily retain information in the long term for their exams. - I will analyse mark schemes to find key terms required to gain easy but commonly missed marks Additional support: - Lesson notes and practise questions done by students will be tidied at the end of the lesson for students to look back at if needed. - Links to multiple questions packs (both online and created by me), apps and websites for additional revision. - Happy to set and mark homework to ensure topics are not forgotten between lessons if students want it. - Happy to answer any questions outside lesson through detailed text answers or screenshots of working for calculations if required - For A-level students - Happy to give university personal statement/ interview advice and activities/enrichment/work experience ideas students could get involved in to boost applications

Chaarvi is a perfect person to have as a tutor! She's always engaging and fun to talk to about any maths problem, and is always looking for a different and interesting solution to any problem. Anyone who talks to her can tell she has an amazing passion for the subject, and it is impossible not to enjoy a question as long as your with her since her passion for the subject is contagious. She's very good at explaining her though process through a problem in a way that's easy to understand no matter how complex or easy the problem may be, and can accommodate any ability.
