About Lara

I'm a passionate human rights advocate who has worked in various spaces including in charity law, helping women who have been through trauma, and assisting asylum seekers and refugees. I have also been engaged in commercial law, bid management, policy writing and other fields. I have a genuine passion for helping people and I am noted for going above and beyond to assist those in need.

My primary aim is to assist students from diverse backgrounds to meet their potential and give them the academic grounding and basis in order to achieve that. We would work together as co-pilots on this journey and therefore any tutoring would very much be tailored to meet your needs as an individual. I look forward to meeting you and I hope that we can have a productive working relationship. I want to see you flourish and excel and feel fulfilled in your goals.

About the lesson

I have been tutoring for over fifteen years across a range of age groups from primary through to tertiary, including ESL students. I have tutored students in English, Legal studies, history, geography, essay writing, creative writing, and the humanities in general. I have an enthusiasm to help students learn and I will always do my best to assist you to fulfill your highest potential.

I am a qualified lawyer and I graduated with honors I also completed a Bachelor of Arts (majors in English and Sociology). Throughout both qualifications I was awarded numerous scholarships and inducted into the Golden Key Society and the Honor Roll. I have worked in a number of sectors including in the commercial law space, charity law, bid management, customer service and extensively in tutoring.

I understand that each student has unique needs and therefore I would tailor each lesson to suit the requirements of the student. I believe we would be co-pilots in your journey and therefore I will always go above and beyond to make you comfortable, and my pedagogical approach will be nuanced to meet your unique and important needs. I understand some students prefer face to face and I have a comfortable home and you can attend here for lessons, or we may meet somewhere more comfortable for you like the local library or we can conduct online sessions. Length will vary based on your individual needs. My aim is to make you feel as safe, comfortable and supported as possible so that you can flourish and excel in your academic career.
