About Tobias

Hi, I'm Tobias. I teach English online to children and teenagers in international families — kids who need English for school, for a move abroad, or simply because their parents want them to have it early.

My own background is international, and I learned English the way my students are learning it now, so I know where it gets difficult and what actually helps.

About the lesson

How it works:

After the first lesson you get a short written assessment of your child's level — listening, speaking, reading, writing — and a plan for what we start with.

Every lesson builds on the one before it, with material I prepare for your child. We focus on speaking first, then writing and grammar, always with examples they can use straight away.

Between lessons there are one or two short assignments that set up the next class, so the language stays in play during the week.

The classes are online, with fixed weekly slots in your time zone, and I'm always on time. Most families do one or two lessons a week. The first lesson is free.

I met Tobias when we were both studying abroad, and we became friends. After that, he decided to start giving Dutch lessons, and I was super interested! We started taking lessons, and I really liked his teaching style. The classes were super interesting and fun, and time flew by so fast! I’ve learned so much from him, and I can’t wait to have some free time to start taking his classes again! :)

Tobias is very intuitive and intelligent. I felt very comfortable with him being my teacher because he made me feel that my lack of knowledge was a part of the process. I strongly recommend him to be your teacher too!
