About Michelle

Hi I'm Michelle - The Fashion Expert a fashion designer, consultant and startup mentor. I'm not someone who just teaches the theory, I've lived it too for 20+ years.
My passion is making the fashion industry accessible, giving people the skills they need to further their career and lifting the velvet rope on an often elite industry.
I've been working with small boutique brands and startup brands for the last 10 years as The Fashion Expert helping them to design, manufacture and launch a collection and prior to that I worked as a senior-level multi-product fashion designer in several head office roles including Arcadia Group in London - Wallis, Miss Selfridge, Topshop.
I've seen the fashion industry from most angles and I'm here to share my 20+ years experience and knowledge with you.
During Covid I guest lectured online for fashion students at London fashion college and also host a podcast called The Fashion Startup.

*Starting a fashion brand from scratch - practical elements to starting a business

Whatever you need help with just ask and we can create something unique for your individual circumstances.

My approach is super friendly, there are no wrong answers or silly questions. I want you to walk away from these lessons feeling encouraged, empowered and excited.

I work with people from all levels of experience, age and backgrounds, you do not need to be at a fashion college or university, so if you are hoping to set up your own fashion label and just don't know how let me guide you through the whole process.

Perfect! Really quick response and thoughtful ideas. I asked Michelle for advice since my dress was not fitting well and she came up with many different ideas and demonstrated how to fix the issues. Really helpful and pleasant manner.

Michelle gave a confident and professional online presentation to the students which was informative and inspiring. Michelle spoke to 3 different class groups about 'The Power of Digital Illustration in Fashion Design' alongside a digital presentation which showcased images and video exemplars.
Michelle was happy to answer student questions at the end too which was appreciated.
Overall, Michelle gave an insightful presentation that would easily translate in to a lesson in a teaching environment.
I have know Michelle for some 20 years, working in different companies together as fashion designers so I know Michelle to be knowledgeable, reliable and trust-worthy as well as being a highly creative and talented fashion designer.
