About Abel

As an Aerospace Engineering major with a Computer Science minor at the University of Maryland, I bring a strong academic foundation and a passion for helping others succeed. I’ve consistently maintained a 3.857 GPA and have been named to the Dean’s List four times. My studies have given me deep knowledge in Math, Physics, and Programming—especially Java—all of which I enjoy sharing with others through tutoring. Beyond academics, I serve as Secretary of the Ethiopian-Eritrean Student Association and am an active member of the National Society of Black Engineers. I tailor my lessons based on the student's learning style and pace, often incorporating visuals, analogies, or hands-on coding (for Java) to reinforce understanding.

What sets me apart is my ability to adapt on the spot. I’m patient, intuitive, and skilled at explaining things in multiple ways until they click. I also aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions.
