About Amy
As a student myself I often wondered how I could apply my English skills usefully, and so I realised that tutoring was best for me! Having 3 younger siblings I've often applied my knowledge to help them with school work, so I thought why not take it further?! With an 8 in both my English Literature and Language GCSEs and a predicted A in my A-level, I believe I have a first hand understanding of what secondary school kids need assistance with, and I would be more than happy to help!

My approach to tutoring depends on each student with their level of English studies, and activities vary from phonics and literacy to learning and practising language and literature features features while applying it to analysis of texts. Before the first lesson I ask of the goals the student wants to achieve from tutoring, and take into account their age and school grades up to this point to ensure I can provide the best personalised tutoring.
