About Pedro

Hi, I’m Pedro. I teach Economics and Business—but what I actually do is help people untangle the knots that make them say, “I’ll never get this.” For six years, I’ve sat where you’re sitting—across from GCSE students sweating mocks, A-Level kids drowning in AD-AS diagrams, and undergrads staring down econometrics like it’s a horror movie. I’ve also been the guy with the red pen, marking for Edexcel. (Spoiler: examiners don’t want jargon. They want clarity. I’ll show you how to give it to them.) Why I care: Years ago, I sat in class, heart pounding, too scared to ask, “What’s a quota?” because I thought I’d sound stupid. That feeling sucked. Now, I build lessons where “dumb questions” don’t exist—just curiosity, problem-solving, and a whiteboard we can scribble on until it clicks. When I’m not teaching, I’m probably falling off a bouldering wall (gracefully, I swear) or burning dinner while arguing with my Border Collie about macroeconomic policy ofc. (He’s a fiscal conservative.) Both remind me: progress is messy. And that’s okay.

About the lesson

No jargon. No robotic scripts. Just honest help that feels like a conversation with your knowledgeable (and least judgy) friend. Here’s how we’ll fix this: First, we diagnose: 90 minutes to figure out why elasticity makes you want to scream, or where your last essay went off the rails. Then, we tackle: Weekly 50-minute sessions that feel like brain workouts—challenging, sweaty, weirdly fun. No clock-watching: If we’re knee-deep in market failure and the timer dings? We keep going. I don’t leave puzzles half-solved. My toolkit: Mistake Journals: Track your errors like a detective—then turn them into superpowers. Teach-Back Challenges: You explain monetary policy to me. If I get it, you’ve nailed it. Real-World Hacks: Inflation explained through your Spotify bill. Game theory via Squid Game strategies. Past Paper Gymnastics: Learn how to bend mark schemes to your will (examiner secrets included). Who this works for: GCSE, A-Level, and IB students stuck in Edexcel, AQA, or OCR. Undergrads wrestling with Micro, Macro, or niche modules like Environmental Econ. Anyone who’s ever said, “I’m just not an Econ person.” (Breaking news: Neither was I. Until I was.) The vibe?
