About Marcos
I worked at the UNIVALE University in Brazil where I lived for 26 years. Portuguese and Brazilian literature classes were offered at the undergraduate level. I promoted trips with foreing students to practice portuguese as second language too. Most of my foreingn students took portuguese lessons for communication purposes with their brazilian friends and to be able to travel to other areas in Brazil. I worked with young students as well practicing literacy and working hard with the reluctant readers.

I am a qualified teacher of Brazilian portuguese language. I believe that setting yourself to learn a language is an exciting yet scary challenge. New words, lack of time, so many things get in the way... Everything contributes to the feeling that you won`t be able to do it, but speaking a second language may change how you see the world,
I`ve been teaching for over 20 years, and I taught people from all walks of life. I try to make every lesson meaningful for the students, be it in a group or on a 1:1 lesson. My methodology comprises Communicative techniques, and I can assure you that you will be speaking Portuguese, and sooner than you think. Add to that reading that is relevant to you, listening pieces that will improve your comprehension skills and writing what you think is necessary for your learning targets. I got a flexible schedule.
