About Katelyn
I am a special education teacher who is currently working in an elementary school in the subjects of reading, writing, and math. I am able to break down tasks with multiple ways to represent materials. I am able to work with individuals who may be learning English or have a disability. I know some sign language. I have background working with nonverbal learners. I have either taught or interned in all grades from Kindergarten to 12th grade.

As a special education teacher I use whatever information or skill level I know and I work from there. I bring multiple forms of representation to the lesson. I use visuals, manipulatives, gestures or hands-on activities when possible. I want learning to be fun, but in ways that the student is able to understand. I work from the student's level and work up.
