About Kirsty

I am passionate about English, reading and literature and I enjoy being able to inspire learners to have positive experiences with their learning. I support many learning styles and I encourage discussion about the work we are doing in order to develop critical thinking skills and confidence in all areas of English language learning. I have a current DBS certificate.

About the lesson

All tutor sessions are tailored towards the current needs of each individual learner. A typical session lasts one hour and can be in person or online. I currently offer 1:1 and small group sessions. I have taught secondary school English Language and Literature for over 23 years and my subject knowledge is current and up to date. I will happily teach KS3, 4 and 5 and I am willing to support adult learners too.
