About Shea

I'm Shea, a first-class graduate of Biological Sciences from the University of Southampton. Alongside my first-class degree, I had previously achieved all A or A* equivalents in all GCSE and A-level subjects. I am now a qualified teacher working in England. In particular, my passion is for biology where I achieved A*'s at both GCSE and A-level. At degree I chose not to specialise and have engaged in biomedical, environmental and zoological disciplines amongst many other areas. Although, if I had to narrow it down I would say my best areas would be parasitology, immunology and conservation. I'm definitely a well-rounded scientist with a lot of interests. I look forward to exploring the interests of students too! Please don't hesitate to contact me! University : - University of Southampton - Biology [First Class] School : Andover College A Levels - Biology [A*] - Chemistry [A] - Maths [A] Winton Community Academy GCSEs - Chemistry [A*] - Biology [A*] - Physics [A*] - Maths [9] - English Literature [9] - English Language [7] - French [A] - Drama [A] - Geography [A*] Other Qualifications : Extended Project Qualification - Biology, focusing on the interaction of keystone species, public perception, and conservation funding.

About the lesson

Lessons are done through Google Meets links. I use PowerPoints, past papers and interactive whiteboards to help students learn and practise content. I have been tutoring since age 18 and am currently working in a school. My specialism is GCSE biology but I can also cover GCSE chemistry. Of course, I am also more than happy to help eager KS3 pupils.

Perfect! Outstanding Biology Tutor – Truly Transformational!
We are incredibly grateful for the support and dedication that Shea has shown to our son. In just a few weeks, he went from struggling with a grade 4 to achieving an impressive grade 9 in his biology tests – a transformation we never imagined possible in such a short time.
Shea is not only highly knowledgeable and professional, but also genuinely supportive and encouraging. He has a remarkable ability to explain complex concepts in a way that makes them engaging and accessible. More importantly, he has sparked a real interest in biology for our son, who now approaches the subject with confidence and curiosity.
Shea's coaching has made a lasting impact, and we can’t thank him enough for the positive influence he’s had on both our son’s academic journey and self-belief.
Thank you so much – you’ve made a world of difference!

Shea was always the brainy one amongst our close friends. Because of this he was always helping us with our GCSE's for science... and to some extent A level. Although I was never a lover of science, Shea's patience and creativity were so helpful in helping me pass my exams (a few years ago now). He is soon to become a teacher and has had previous tutor experience, so I think he will love helping other students right now too.
