About Matthew
I am a Mission Concept Engineer for satellites, which means I take customer requirements for their satellite missions (e.g. they want a satellite that can take X number of images of a certain location) and design the satellite around that. I often interact with non-technical clients which has given me good experience in explaining complex ideas in simple terms - I find this greatly helps me in my teaching.
I used to tutor at university and enjoyed it greatly. It is something I have missed doing and have thus started again to supplement my income.

I find the best way to learn is via doing problems. My preferred method of teaching is to go over content and then run through practical problems to reinforce what has just been covered. The best way to learn is to do and the way I teach reflects this. Particularly for A Levels and GCSE, there are a large supply of previous exam questions which often follow extremely similar patterns and structure - often being exactly the same with numbers changed. By guiding students through these questions we can fully prepare for the final exam and have a high degree of confidence in final performance. This is the method I used to achieve A*s in my Maths and Physics A-Levels.
Typical lesson lengths are up to the student but I would recommend an hour.
My lessons are tailored the the individual and their level of knowledge.
