About Anushree
Hi! I’m a UC San Diego Math–Computer Science student with professional experience as a university-level tutor in math and English. I have worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds and skill levels, helping them strengthen their understanding, improve their confidence, and achieve their academic goals.
I specialize in tutoring math from elementary to high school levels, as well as English, academic writing, creative writing, and ESL for students from elementary through college. I believe every student learns differently, so I focus on creating personalized lessons that are supportive, engaging, and tailored to each student's needs. As a student myself, I understand the challenges of learning new concepts, which motivates me to help students find study strategies and learning methods that work best for them.

As a tutor and student myself, I focus on understanding each student's unique challenges and adapting my teaching style to fit their needs. I break down difficult concepts into simpler steps, use relatable examples, and work through practice problems together to build confidence and independence. A typical lesson begins with an overview of what I will be covering, followed by concept explanations, practice, and time for questions. I also offer students the opportunity to ask/choose what they might want to specifically focus on for upcoming lessons. I work with students from elementary to high school for math, and from elementary to college level for English, academic writing, creative writing, and ESL. My experience as a professional university tutor has helped me connect with students from many different backgrounds and learning levels.
