About Brian

Hold the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. The CFA program sets the global standard for investment knowledge, standards and ethics. To achieve the designation, professionals must complete a rigorous curriculum covering a broad range of investment topics and are committed to the highest ethical standards in the profession. The CFA designation symbolizes knowledge, professionalism and integrity. Have also been awarded the Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute designation (FCSI) – the highest designation in the Canadian investment industry. Other industry credentials include the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) as well as the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designations. Have also completed basic and advanced income tax courses as well as the derivatives fundamentals and option licensing courses. Holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the University of New Brunswick. Have taught personal finance and investing for the Canadian Securities Institute as well as guest lecturer for numerous investment panels and local college.

About the lesson

30+ years of personal experience combined with a reputation for clear thought and insight when teaching. My colleagues jokingly referred to me as a "Geek translator" ie translating geek finance into plain English.

Lessons are generally directed to adults wanting to learn investment concepts, improve their personal finance skills or to more advanced students wanting to learn about and how to implement a stock option strategy.

Excellent! I think that Brian has explained the concept well in the the finance topic. The think that Brian can improve is to write out more notes and summary on the white board rather than just keep talking throughout the whole session. It can make the session more interesting and understand the concept better
