About Grace
Hi, I’m Grace! I recently graduated from the University of St Andrews with a degree in Philosophy and Spanish. I’ve always enjoyed discussing ideas, exploring different perspectives and finding the words to express what I think. My degree allowed me to develop these interests, while studying abroad in Uruguay gave me the opportunity to experience a different culture and put my Spanish into practice.
I want to teach because I enjoy helping others understand something they previously found difficult. I know from my own studies how valuable it is to have someone who listens, explains things clearly and encourages you to keep trying. I’d love to offer that support and help students feel more confident in their own abilities.

Having studied abroad in Uruguay, I know how daunting it can feel to put your knowledge into practice. I also know how much difference patient encouragement and a clear explanation can make. I want my students to feel comfortable giving things a go, even when they’re unsure of the answer.
In our lessons, we’ll build on your strengths and focus on the areas where you’d like more support. I’ll use examples, discussion and guided practice to help you build your understanding, then support you as you try independently. Whether you want to strengthen your essay writing, get to grips with grammar or feel more prepared for exams, we’ll set clear goals and work towards them at your pace.
