About Amelia
Since grade 7, I have wanted to be a teacher with the goal of helping others. This dream has become a reality as I have been able to pursue a career that allows me to make an impact on students every day. My strengths as a compassionate, optimistic, and creative person have served me well and will continue to aid me in supporting the academic and emotional well-being of students.

I enjoy teaching in a dialogic manner as if learning is an ongoing conversation between the students and I. I value being a compassionate and welcoming figure that students can seek support from. My lessons are a mix of discussion, inquiry, and independence. This allows me to be a guide while students play an active role in their learning. I have taught elementary science, art, math, and English. I am also proficient at teaching grade 9-12 sciences including biology, chemistry, and psychology.
