About Mingyang

Academic Excellence & Research-Proven Pedagogy
A Foundation of Elite Academic Rigor
Confidence in a tutor begins with their own academic trajectory. As a Doctoral Researcher at Nanjing University—one of the premier institutions for physical sciences—I have spent years mastering the complexities of the physical world. My journey from a Bachelor of Science to a Ph.D. candidate has been defined by a relentless pursuit of clarity and precision. This background ensures that the knowledge I share with my students is not just textbook theory, but a deep, structural understanding vetted by the highest academic standards.
Proven Legitimacy Through Global Publications
Professionalism in physics is measured by the ability to contribute to the global scientific discourse. My legitimacy as an expert is anchored in my published research. Having authored and co-authored papers in "Science Advances" and "Nature Communications," I have successfully navigated the most rigorous peer-review processes in the world. When I explain a concept in Electrodynamics or Quantum Mechanics, I am drawing from the same analytical toolkit that allows me to publish in the world’s top-tier journals. This "Research-First" perspective provides my students with an unparalleled level of insight that goes far beyond standard exam preparation.
A Commitment to Professional Integrity
I view the teacher-student relationship as a professional partnership. My approach is disciplined, organized, and results-oriented. I understand that for an ambitious student, time is the most valuable asset. Therefore, my sessions are meticulously prepared to maximize efficiency. Whether we are tackling AP Physics, IB Higher Level, or Advanced Undergraduate modules, I maintain a standard of professionalism that mirrors the environment of a high-level research lab: objective, data-driven, and focused on clear, reproducible success.
The Mingyang Guarantee: Clarity in Complexity
What I offer is the reassurance that no matter how daunting a topic may seem—from the intricacies of Special Relativity to the nuances of Finite-Key Analysis—it can be broken down into logical, manageable components. My goal is to empower students with the same "First Principles" methodology that has fueled my own research success, ensuring they develop the confidence to master any challenge in the physical sciences.

Academic Rigor Meets First Principles: Physics Instruction by a Quantum Researcher
My Teaching Philosophy: Beyond the Formula
My approach to physics is rooted in First Principles Thinking. In the global academic market, most students fail because they treat physics as a library of formulas to be memorized. My methodology hedges against this risk by focusing on the underlying "why." As a researcher at a university, I teach students to derive complex behaviors from fundamental laws. I bridge the gap between high-school intuition and university-level rigor, utilizing Python-based visualizations and AI-assisted data analysis to turn abstract concepts into tangible mental models.
A Typical Lesson Plan: The Strategic Execution
A standard 60-minute session is structured for maximum knowledge retention and "Alpha" (outperformance) in exams:
Diagnostic Briefing (5 mins): We identify the current conceptual gaps and "pain points" from previous material.
The Conceptual Deep Dive (20 mins): I dismantle a specific law or theorem (e.g., Gauss’s Law or Schrodinger’s Equation) to its first principles. No "black boxes" allowed.
Quantitative Execution (25 mins): We solve high-difficulty problems (AP C-level or Undergraduate-level) from the perspective of a researcher, focusing on elegant, efficient solutions rather than brute-force calculation.

What Sets Me Apart: The Research Edge
What differentiates Mingyang from a standard tutor is the depth of my "Intellectual Moat." I am not just a teacher; I am a practitioner at the frontiers of science. Having published first-author research in Science Advances and Nature Communications, I bring a level of analytical rigor that is virtually unavailable in the standard tutoring market. I don't just teach you how to pass the AP exam; I teach you how to think like a world-class physicist. I provide my students with the same problem-solving frameworks used to secure publications in top-tier journals.
Target Audience: High-Performance Students
My lessons are curated for students who demand excellence and seek a deep, structural understanding of the physical world. I specifically cater to:
Elite High School Students: Those preparing for AP Physics (1, 2, C), IB (HL), or A-Level (AQA/Edexcel) who want to secure a 5 or A* and prepare for Ivy League/Oxbridge-level rigor.
Undergraduate Physics Majors: Students struggling with core curriculum "Four Pillars" (Classical Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Quantum Mechanics, and Statistical Physics).
Ambitious Researchers: Students looking to develop the computational and mathematical skills (Python/Mathematical Modeling) required for their own independent research projects.
