About Mohammed
I am an honest and dynamic teacher who has years of experience, and I value feedback from staff and students alike. My teaching journey is continuous, and I am still learning and will continue to learn. Teaching in recent years has changed drastically due to Covid-19; lessons were not limited to the classroom as there were online live lessons which required lots of mental preparation, which meant adapting and teaching in a way that relates to pupils’ real-life experiences in a vibrant and engaging environment. In summary, I believe my expertise in teaching science, teamwork skills, organisational ability, my honesty and my willingness to put the welfare of staff and students first makes me an ideal tutor.

I believe that all children have potential that they deserve to achieve, building on their strengths with the support of teachers and fellow pupils. As the proverb goes, it takes a village to raise a child, requiring a collaborative effort to help a person reach their full potential. This is a key aim for me as a teacher, and one of the ways I implement this in my teaching is by being aware of students’ varying needs and abilities from the start. As such, I can tailor my lessons so that everyone feels supported while inspiring them to aim higher. For example, if I am explaining a maths problem, I will first clearly work through an example as a demonstration. Then, we will work through another question together as a class, and finally ask pupils to solve a problem independently. This promotes collaboration while ensuring nobody feels left behind. I regularly summarise and revisit the content with a short plenary to make sure children have mastered the lesson.
